A large pharmaceutical company is seeking a Project Scheduler / Resource Planning Engineer to support the Capital Project Engineering team in Southwest Michigan. This role will serve as the centralized owner of project scheduling and resource loading across Pfizer’s capital project portfolio, consolidating schedules to provide clear visibility into timelines, dependencies, critical paths, and workforce utilization.
The individual will partner closely with approximately 20 Project Managers and their respective planners, as well as construction and contract stakeholders, to develop, maintain, and optimize detailed, resource-loaded schedules using MS Project. The role will focus on capital projects, performing multi-level planning and critical path analysis, identifying schedule risks, and aligning resources to current and future project demands. As the company continues to evolve its resource planning approach, this position will play a key role in tracking capacity, particularly for construction and contract resources, and supporting planning decisions across the portfolio.
This role will also utilize MS Project and Procore as a document control and construction management platform and leverage Excel extensively for schedule integration, analysis, reporting, and scenario modeling. While the initial focus will be on capital projects, there is an opportunity for the role to expand into additional teams and project types over time.
