Responsibilities

  • Perform routine garden and landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Identify and address plant health issues such as pests, diseases, and irrigation needs.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as mulching, leaf removal, and winter preparation.
  • Follow work plans set by the Crew Leader to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to the Crew Leader or Supervisor promptly.
  • Represent Stay Green in a professional and courteous manner while on job sites.
  • Address client inquiries respectfully and direct them to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain high-quality standards and efficiency.
  • Maintain good attendance and follow company policies regarding time off and scheduling.
  • Wear company-approved uniforms and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plant materials, irrigation systems, and landscape tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
